Acceptable use terms

Acceptable use terms

Rules for how Cygrids services may be used. The terms protect customers, users, third parties, and the technical infrastructure.

Use the services legally and responsibly

The customer must use the services in accordance with applicable law, its agreements, accepted industry practice, and reasonable technical limits.

Legal content

Content, data, and activity in the services must be lawful and must not infringe third-party rights or breach confidentiality, privacy, or other protected interests.

Respect third parties

The services must not be used in a way that disrupts, harms, or places an unreasonable burden on third parties, other customers, or external networks.

Secure your resources

The customer must protect its accounts, systems, and resources against unauthorized access and use reasonable security measures for the relevant environment.

Prohibited activities

The following activities are examples of use that may breach the terms and lead to action.

Spam and unauthorized communication

The services may not be used for spam, phishing, attempted fraud, misleading mailings, or other unauthorized mass communication.

Intrusion and circumvention

Intrusion attempts, unauthorized scanning, attempts to circumvent security controls, unauthorized access, and similar activities are prohibited.

Malicious code

It is not permitted to store, run, distribute, or facilitate malicious code, botnets, malware, or other activity that compromises systems.

Unauthorized resource use

The services must not be used in a way that creates an unreasonable load, causes disruption, or poses a risk to other customers, networks, or Cygrids’ operations.

Unauthorized content

Material or activity that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, or is prohibited by an agreement or applicable law is not permitted.

Secure operation of your own environments

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the customer is responsible for its use of the services, its users, and the data processed in its environment.

Security and updates

The customer is responsible for the configuration, security updates, permissions, and access controls of the systems and applications it manages.

Passwords and accounts

Passwords, keys, and administrator accounts must be protected against unauthorized access and shared only with people who need access.

Backups

The customer is responsible for backups of its own data unless backup, restore, or specific retention is expressly included in the agreed service.

Content and use

The customer is responsible for content, traffic, user accounts, and activity in the customer environment, including activity by the customer's own end users.

Reporting, investigation, and action

Cygrids follows a structured process when investigating suspected abuse, but may act immediately if there is an urgent risk to security, operations, or third parties.

Report

Suspected abuse can be reported via the contact page. Include relevant logs, timestamps, IP addresses, or other information that helps the investigation.

Investigation

Cygrids may contact the customer, require remedial action, review technical indicators, and document the incident timeline in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.

Action

Where abuse is confirmed or reasonably suspected, Cygrids may restrict traffic, suspend a service, require remedial action, or take other proportionate measures.

Urgent risks

Where there are urgent risks to operations, security, other customers, or third parties, Cygrids reserves the right to temporarily suspend or limit services before a full investigation is complete.
